The Sports Administration held a briefing on the progress of the preparations for the "Ministry of Sports Department (tentative name)" and invited representatives from 73 specific sports groups to attend and exchange opinions. SA Director-General Cheng Shih-chung, personally stated that the establishment of the Ministry of Sports (tentative name) will benefit the development of sports groups to build consensus among sports groups on the future operation of the Ministry.

Taiwan has organized a delegation to participate in the ISF Gymnasiade - Bahrain 2024 and held participated in 19 competition sports, including Para track and field, Para badminton and Para swimming, providing more chances to appear on the international stages for Taiwan’s Para athletes. SA Director Hsu Hsiu-ling of the International and Cross-Strait Sports Division, attended the press conference of the "2024 Taipei OEC Open" tennis event and delivered a speech in which she wished the event success.

The Taitung County Government held a national press conference for the "2024 Taiwan Open of Surfing." SA Deputy Director-General Hung Chih-chang congratulated the villages that received certification and invited city or county governments to encourage their villages to join, hoping that Taiwan will become a healthy island where everyone loves sports.

The Sports Administration held a press conference on the results of grassroots sports event broadcasting and marketing on October 27. From August 2023 to September 2024, a total of 35 sports events were broadcast for more than 140 hours, covering various events, providing the public with diverse channels to watch the competition.

The Sports Administration held the "Sports Village Certification" for the first time, and 136 villages in 18 counties and cities across Taiwan were certified for promoting general and local distinctive sports types, showcasing the diverse sports trends at the grassroots level. The Sports Administration organized the "Golf Course Online Seminar" in which the Ministry of Interior National Land Management Agency explained the system differences between the Regional Plan Act and the Spatial Planning Act, so that golf course operators can understand and comply with the latest regulations. The Ministry of Education's 2024 high school student sports league kicked off with the HBL qualifying tournament on October 14th, followed by the soccer, volleyball and softball leagues. A joint press conference was held on October 11th, where coaches and players showed their enthusiasm and energy.
