Minister Without Portfolio Shih Che (center) presented the Sports Elite Awards Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Lee Wu-nan (right), thanking him for his long-term contribution and dedication to Taiwan's boxing; and presented the Elite Sports Awards Special Award to Sun Chen whose father, Mr. Sun Ding-ping (left), received the award on his behalf. The award recognized Sun Chen for writing a new page in the history of Taiwanese break dance.

In the WBSC Premier 12 2024,Taiwan defeated Japan 4-0 to win the championship, marking our best result ever in the competition. It was the product of the hard work of the national team’s coaches, players, and administrative and logistics teams.

The players embraced and celebrated when Taiwan won the WBSC Premier 12 2024  baseball championship.

After President Lai Ching-te learned of the victory of the Taiwan team, he immediately sent a congratulatory message. Deputy Minister of Education Chang-Liao Wan-chien (right) and Director-General of the Sports Administration Cheng Shih-chung (left) jointly presented the message to captain Chen Chieh-hsien (center), who received it on behalf of the team.

Taiwan’s victorious WBSC Premier 12 2024 team returned home on November 25, 2024, and were personally welcomed by Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (center, front row) at Taoyuan International Airport.

On November 26, Premier Cho Jung-tai (left) hosted a banquet in honor of the WBSC Premier 12 2024 championship team and presented a "Certificate of Appreciation" to commend the team for its great achievements which was received by captain Chen Chieh-hsien (right).

The Sports Administration commissioned National Taiwan Normal University to implement the "Project for Creating Accessible Sports Environment for Groups With Special Needs 2023-2025", conducting on-site surveys of barrier-free facilities in spectator competition sports venues to improve the convenience of barrier-free facilities to ensure that they comply with the needs of people with disabilities. The WBSC Premier 12 winning team members were awarded the second-class Guo Guang Athletic Medal by Premier Cho Jung-tai, and the medals were received by seven players in attendance (left to right: Chen Kuan-yu, Chang Yi, Chen Bai-ching, Wang Chih-hsuan, Premier Cho, Chuang Hsin-yan, Li Kai-wei, Pan Chieh-kai).

The Sports Administration invited National Taiwan Normal University to hold the "2024 School Physical Education Curriculum Integration Promotion Overall Plan Results Presentation" on December 8, and was represented by Huang Yu-yu, Deputy Director of the School Physical Education Division.

Mega Bank will donate mini baseball equipment to 1,300 primary schools in Taiwan in the next two years. Player representatives from Hsinchu City Ximen Elementary School Little League team accepted the equipment. They hope that through this dream-realization project, baseball will be promoted to rural areas. The National Special Education Adapted Sports Games invited many artists and Internet celebrities to respond to the event. “Wheelchair girl” Sherry (left) spares no effort in promoting disability sports and was awarded a certificate of appreciation. Many countries have introduced sports guidelines for football heading practice for children and teenagers, prohibiting children under 6 years old from heading, and recommending that children aged 9 to 12 years old use balloons or foam balls for practice.
