This year, the Ministry of Education carried out a survey to examine the condition of physical exercise participation in all level schools, and used the stratified random sampling method according to region and number of classes in the schools, sampling 10%~15% of all level schools in the country, totaling to 504 schools. A total of 50000 surveys were given out, and 45028 were collected, rate of collection 90%. The survey focuses on student participation in school sport groups, needs and feelings toward school Physical Education classes, needs and feelings toward school sport groups, ways of transportation to school, bike-riding abilities, and regular exercising habits. The handle of data is divided into two parts. The first part is categorized by schools, describing the previous content according to schools, and parts of the questions have diverse options for sex, in order to define the difference of the performance of girls and boys. The second part is categorized by county, in order to know the influence of different education policies in different places. Because universities are not affected by county policies, the second part doesn’t include universities into discussion, and focuses on elementary, junior high, and high school levels. Above-mentioned is the brief description of this research.
