"iSports Taiwan" Unique Local Features Voting Gets Underway
Taiwan's 22 cities and counties get Ready Go! "iSports Taiwan" assembles 22 world-class sporting events reaching new heights together. Representatives from these 22 cities and counties were invited to attend the press launched for this activity held on June 28 to announce that the "iSports Taiwan" voting activity is officially underway!
People nationwide cast their votes online for the "iSports Taiwan" voting activity held from June 28 to September 11. Each person may cast up to 8 votes per day choosing their “most” from the 22 cities and counties nationwide. Votes will be cast on the following 8 awards with the most unique local features: Love to Do Sports No. 1 Award, Infinite Scenic Beauty Award, Most Challenging Award, International Marketing Award, the Parent-Child Fun Award, Best Popularity Award, Sports for All Award, and Cultural Features Award. Voting results will be posted on the bulletin board of the First Floor Main Plaza of the Taipei Railway Station on October 27 (Friday), along with a voting activity award and results exhibition. Participants in this year's voting activity will have the opportunity to draw for the chance to win a Gogoro electric scooter worth tens of thousands, and 8 of the newest version of iPhone. Puppets Love Summer Water Fun ‒ Having Fun Together!
According to Sports Administration statistics, from 2005 to 2016 there were a total of 213 elementary school-aged children drowning fatalities, accounting for 37.56% of the total number of drowning fatalities and the highest percentage among school-aged children and youth. Therefore, this year the Sports Administration has invited the Puppet & Its Double troupe to perform the 10 Tips on Drowning Prevention and Puppets Love Summer Water Fun water safety advocacy puppet shows. The troupe performed four Puppets Love Summer Water Fun water safety advocacy shows from July 8 to 9 at the Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival. Additionally, the Sports Administration set up a Water Safety Advocacy Booth from July 5 to 9, giving the public a chance to play interactive games and win free gifts and prizes. Hope that both adults and children can gain knowledge and know-how about the correct ways to ensure water safety.
Taiwan is an island nation surrounded by ocean and endowed with an abundance of maritime resources offering a wide variety of water sports and recreational activities. However, students must be sure to enjoy water activities at safe, monitored venues with lifeguards and life-saving equipment available. The Sports Administration continues to work in coordination with the central and local governments to bolster inspections of dangerous water activity environments, strengthen public water safety concepts, and assist city and county governments set up water safety networks. These initiatives will provide effective safety advocacy and risk prevention measures and enhance supervision of dangerous water activity environments. Hope that the implementation of these stringent controls will effectively reduce the number of drowning incidents.
Life is priceless, so make sure not to risk your life while playing in the water. Once again, remind the public to be vigilant when swimming and playing in the water all year round. When participating in water sports and recreational activities, always be mindful of personal safety, don't engage in risky behavior and actions, choose safe water activity environments, and always remember the 5 tips on drowning rescue and 10 tips on drowning prevention. Let’s all work together to prevent drowning accidents.

偶愛夏天戲水樂 同樂趣
根據體育署統計，民國94至105年國小學童溺水死亡總計213人，約佔總學生溺水死亡人數之37.56%，居於各學制之冠，因此，今(106)年體育署特別邀請「無獨有偶劇團」製作「防溺10招健康操」與「『偶愛夏天戲水樂』水域安全宣導偶劇」，其中「『偶愛夏天戲水樂』水域安全宣導偶劇」在7月8日(星期六)和7月9日(星期日)「宜蘭縣國際童玩藝術節」共演出4場，另外體育署也在7月5日至9日設置「水域安全宣導攤位」，與現場民眾進行一些互動遊戲並贈送精美禮品，希望大朋友、小朋友都能學習到正確的水域運動安全知識。
體育署表示，臺灣四面環海，擁有豐富的海洋資源，是發展各項水域運動的最佳優勢，但是希望學生在從事水域運動的時候，務必在有救生員、救生設備或安全開放的水域戲水，體育署持續協同中央與地方，加強危險水域巡查及強化民眾水域安全觀念，並將與縣市政府建立水域安全網絡，針對危險區域，進行有效的宣導及防制措施，加強督導，除了希望藉由嚴格的控管，有效降低溺水事件的發生。
生命無價，玩水別玩命，體育署再次呼籲，游泳戲水不分季、水域安全需注意，從事水域運動時務必注意自身安全，不逞強、不做危險動作，選擇安全的水域，並牢記救溺5步、防溺10招，方能降低溺水意外發生。

Denmark's Experience: Sports Administration Invites Sport Event Denmark CEO to Taiwan
The Sports Administration invited the Sport Event Denmark CEO, Mr. Lars Lundov, to Taiwan in order to learn from Denmark's experience in bidding for the rights to host key international sports events. On the morning of the June 15, he paid a special visit to Sports Administration General-Director Lin Te-fu in which they exchanged views on hosting international sports events, the promotion of Sport for All, and participation in international sports organizations. The two sides engaged in fruitful discussion and expressed their desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanges.
Sport Event Denmark is a nonprofit organization funded and managed by the Danish government, and its main objective is to assist in the bidding of international sports events, working to fully utilize existing sports venues, and promoting the foundations for Sport for All. This organization cooperates with sports associations and local governments to form a "Golden Triangle," which achieves the goals of enhancing national identity and participation, encouraging volunteerism, promoting national sports development, attracting international tourists, creating an international brand for Denmark, and promoting international business development. Since its founding 10 years ago it has assisted in successful bids for 250 key international sports events including the 2017 European Road Cycling Championships, 2017 SportAccord Convention, 2018 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship, and 2019 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, all of which effectively heightens Denmark's international visibility.
On the morning of the June 14, Mr. Lundov participated in a sports exchange workshop where he shared his organization's developmental experience. In the afternoon, he visited the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) to gain a better understanding of professional baseball in Taiwan. At the workshop, Mr. Lundov pointed out that since Denmark is such a small country with a population of only 5.5 million, the bidding strategy is based on the principle of precision and pragmatism. After careful assessment is made to select international sports events that offer a positive impact on society, the central government, host city, and sports association(s) will work together to attract interest for international sports events to be held in Denmark. Mr. Lundov also talked about the organization's cooperation models with the central government, the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark, sports associations, and host cities; Denmark's assessment indicators for holding international sports events; and gave relevant suggestions and recommendations for Taiwan.
During the meeting with Director-General Lin on the 15th, Mr. Lundov advised Taiwan to not only bid for key international sports championships, but also for important international sports organization conferences such as the IOC Congress and the SportAccord Convention, and to join emerging international sports organizations such as the International Association of Event Hosts (IAEH). Mr. Lundov said this would help strengthen relationships with the leaders from international sports organizations, open up opportunities for exchanges, and give our nation an added advantage in bidding for key international sports events and enhancing international visibility.
Director-General Lin expressed gratitude to Mr. Lundov for making the long trip to share his valuable expertise and practical experiences, admiration for Sport Event Denmark's development, and great interest in Denmark's promotion of sports for the elderly and the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark's 2025 Sport for All Plan. Both sides engaged in positive and constructive discussions, agreed on relevant issues, extensively shared information, and expanded cooperative exchanges.

借鏡丹麥經驗 體育署邀請Sport Event Denmark執行長來臺
為借鏡丹麥申辦重點國際賽會經驗，體育署邀請丹麥運動賽會組織（Sport Event Denmark )執行長拉斯．倫道夫先生來臺， 6月15日上午也特別拜會體育署林署長德福，雙方對於主辦國際運動賽會、全民運動推展及國際體育組織參與，廣泛交換意見，相談甚歡，並期許深化雙邊合作交流。
丹麥運動賽事組織是由丹麥中央政府出資管理的非營利組織，主要業務在於協助申辦國際運動賽事，並務實的以活絡現有運動場館和推展全民運動為基礎。該組織與單項運動協會及地方政府合作，形成「黃金三角」，以提升國家認同與參與、鼓勵志願服務、促進國家運動發展，及吸引國際觀光旅客、塑造丹麥的國際品牌與國際商業發展等為目標。其成立10年以來，已協助成功申辦250場重點國際賽會，包括2017年UFC歐洲公路自由車錦標賽、2017年SportAccord 年會、2018年IIHF世界冰球錦標賽、2019年國際田總世界越野錦標賽，有效提升丹麥國際能見度。
倫道夫執行長6月14日上午與體育界交流座談，分享該組織發展實務經驗，下午拜會中華職棒聯盟，了解臺灣在棒球職業運動的現況，他在座談會指出，由於丹麥為小國，人口僅約550萬人，因此申辦策略是以精準務實原則，在審慎評估重點國際運動賽會所帶來的社會正向影響後，再由中央政府、主辦城市及體育團體通力合作，吸引國際運動賽會在丹麥舉辦。執行長亦暢談該組織與中央政府、丹麥奧會、丹麥體育總會、單項運動協會及主辦城市的合作模式，該國舉辦國際運動賽會之評估指標，以及對於臺灣的相關建議。
倫道夫執行長15日與林署長會談提及，除了重點國際單項運動錦標賽之外，建議臺灣可以多爭取主辦重要國際體育組織會議，包括IOC年會、Sportaccord年會等，或爭取加入新興的國際體育組織，包括International Association of Event Hosts (IAEH)等，加強與國際體育組織領導人建立關係，深化交流，對於我國申辦重點國際賽會及提升國際能見度，勢必有加分的效果。
林署長特別感謝倫道夫執行長遠道而來，分享寶貴專業知識及實務經驗，除對於丹麥運動賽事組織發展深感敬佩外，對於丹麥高齡者運動推廣及丹麥奧會2025全民運動參與計畫也深感興趣，雙方相談甚歡，並約定就此相關議題，進一步交換資訊及深化交流合作。

World's Top Wrestlers Grapple and Grit It Out at the 2017 Junior Asian Wrestling Championship
The 2017 Junior Asian Wrestling Championship was held from June 15 to 18 at the National Taiwan University of Sport. Nearly 300 wrestlers representing 20 nations, including Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, and Saudi Arabia came to compete in Taiwan. The movie “My Champion Daughter and I” has been a big hit in Taiwan, sparking a wave of popularity for the sport of wrestling.
Among our nation's most promising wrestlers that competed in this tournament were men's freestyle-66 kg wrestler Yu-Cheng Lo, who was this year's National Intercollegiate Athletic Games men's freestyle second division champion; Greco-Roman-55 kg wrestler Zi-Ming Du, who also won this year's National Intercollegiate Athletic Games men's Greco-Roman wrestling first division silver medal; women's freestyle-48 kg Yu-Syuan Chang, who captured the bronze medal at the 2016 Cadet Asian Championship and 5th place at the 2016 Cadet World Championships; women's freestyle-51 kg Jo-Cih Chiu, who captured 5th place at the 2016 Junior World Championships; and women's freestyle-72 kg Hui-Tsz Chang, who won the bronze medal at the 2016 Cadet Asian Championships and came in third place at the 2016 Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
This event marked the first time Taiwan held the Junior Asian Wrestling Championship. Hosting this Championship not only promotes international sports exchanges, but also strengthens the competitiveness of our nation's wrestlers.

「角」逐冠軍「力」嶄鋒芒－各路好手齊聚「2017年亞洲青年角力錦標賽」
「2017亞洲青年角力錦標賽」於6月15日至18日在國立臺灣體育運動大學盛大舉辦，有來自日本、韓國、泰國、越南、緬甸、印度、沙烏地阿拉伯等20國近300位的參賽選手來臺競技。電影「我和我的冠軍女兒」在臺灣掀起一股熱潮，角力比賽成為關注焦點。
本次賽事中我國最具潛力選手男子自由式66公斤羅佑呈，奪下今年大運會男子組自由式第二級冠軍，希羅式55公斤杜梓銘也奪下大運會男子組希羅式第一級銀牌，女子組自由式48公斤張禹萱曾獲2016亞青少銅牌與2016世青少第五名，51公斤邱若慈曾獲2016世青第五名，而72公斤張惠慈曾獲2016亞青少銅牌及2016奧運資格賽第三名。
本賽事為臺灣首次辦理亞洲青年角力賽事，不僅促進國際體育交流，亦能提升與深化我國角力競技之水準。
